Epiphany Lanes is a South St. Louis gem located in the current Gateway Science Academy. At this time, Epiphany does not offer an open bowl like other bowling alleys. Instead, they specialize in private parties for kids and adults, leagues, and other events.
Previously, Epiphany Lanes was using a third-party reservation system that was proving to be error-prone, inflexible, and didn’t work well with their internal processes. They approached Wild Operation with hopes of tailoring their reservation system to fit some specific requirements. Fortunately, this kind of thing is right up our alley!
Epiphany Lanes wanted to meet a few goals with a new reservation system:
- Minimum reservation hours with buffer time between reservations
- Automatically blackout times that are already reserved (plus buffer time)
- Take food estimates and other information
- Take payments based on hours reserved, but not for food
- Allow tax-exempt reservations, coupon codes, and other exceptions
This could all be accomplished with a fully custom solution, but we also wanted to keep things as budget-friendly as possible. The form-based approach lent itself well to Gravity Forms. We developed a custom reservation plugin on top of Gravity Forms that checks all of these boxes and more. We also hooked up Stripe for payments and sales tax, and implemented Google Sheets syncing.
The result was a solution that simplified Epiphany’s reservation process both internally and for customers.

If you have a process that isn’t quite working for you, your customers, or both, don’t hesitate to reach out. We’d love to talk about it!
